Over time, connective tissue loses its elasticity. Factors such as pregnancies, breastfeeding, significant weight fluctuations or simply natural gravity can cause the breast to droop (ptosis) and the skin to lose firmness.
If the breast volume is still adequate but the shape appears “empty” and the nipple sits too low, a breast lift (mastopexy) is the ideal solution. Excess skin is removed and the breast tissue is reshaped and repositioned upwards.
